Software Engineer Intern (Tech lead)

Comisio needed its API wired into the new frontend, fast, with a team that was still learning. I led the integration end-to-end.

problem

→ API endpoints existed but the new web app couldn't consume them yet — features were blocked.
→ Five interns of mixed experience needed direction, code review, and a shared way of working.
→ Without conventions, code quality would drift and reviews would become re-writes.

approach

→ Broke the integration into small, owned tickets in GitHub Issues — every intern always knew their next task.
→ Set up code review as the default — every change paired with feedback before merging.
→ Pushed reusable design patterns (hooks, typed clients) so the codebase scaled past the first sprint.

result

→ Shipped the API integration and several new user-facing features within the internship window.
→ Raised code quality and consistency — fewer review cycles per PR over time.
→ Mentored 5 interns through their first production codebase.
